Waste Less Living, Inc. has developed a comprehensive, educational and integrative compost waste management program for schools that was designed to reach a minimum of 66% and as high as 89% waste diversion rate. The program emphasizes waste reduction, waste identification and characterization, daily monitoring and weekly reporting of waste generation rates, and off-site composting. The program involves not only planning and developing the infrastructure to handle the compostable waste targeted for collection, but also the much needed instruction, education and training of the students, teachers, support staff and families.


A PHASED APPROACHED
As with any new system or practice, there is an adjustment period and learning curve. Therefore, we have come up with a number of different ways schools can begin to take advantage of our products and services without having to commit 100%. Merely by inviting us to host a Parent Education function or agreeing to plan your school's next fundraising event with Waste Less Living, the seed will have been planted and awareness created about the connection our waste has on the physical environment.
